Post HURT100 Recovery Run and Picnic

Ho'omaluhia Botanical GardenCongrats to all those who came out and toed the line this past weekend at the HURT 100! Join us for a quick shuffle up the Pali and a potluck picnic this Saturday, January 20.

Recovery 6 mile Shuffle, 7:00am
Let’s meet near the Koolau Golf Club - First Presbyterian Church at 45-550 Kionaole Road. After parking in the designated lot for hikers, run back down the road a little till you get to the last turn where you came in (this is where we’ll be meeting). From there we’ll turn right and head up the old Pali Road all the way up to Pali Highway, where we can cross underneath the highway to meet up another trail which leads to Pali Lookout. From there we turn around and go back the same way to the church parking lot.

Picnic, 10:00am, Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens
If just coming to the picnic, after entering the Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens, drive in through the gate and keep an eye out for the sign that says ‘Kahua Kukui’ - it is the Polynesian section of the park and the entrance is lined with Kukui trees and this is where we will be meeting. Here's a park map for reference:

Please bring a dish to share along with your best stories from the weekend!

See you Saturday!

Welcome to the home of the HURT 100-Mile Endurance Run

Our next HURT100 will be on January 19 and 20, 2019. Registration in UltraSignup will open July 28, 2018, and lottery selection will occur August 18, 2018. More information about the race itself can be found in the Book of HURT.

The premiere of Rooted, The Story of HURT, was well received!

Thank you, Matt Stevens of HURT 100 Film, Steven Mortinson and Bryson Steele of Pursuit Films, and Jimmy Wilkinson of OpticalHI for giving us this lasting and memorable gift on film. It’s great to see how the Hawaiian Ultra Running Team has grown and evolved over the years. But it’s also interesting to know that the spirit of adventure and the sense of service has remained constant within the ohana. We can’t wait to see you experience HURT100 for yourselves one day.

Stay tuned for more information about future showings.

Mahalo!
